Core Responsibilities

  • Direct the daily workflow of maintenance staff to ensure all tasks are executed safely, effectively, and according to the production schedule.

  • Improve documentation accuracy by ensuring all inspections and work orders are recorded in a timely manner.
  • Assist in managing spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are available and downtime is minimized.
  • Oversee external contractors to ensure all third-party work meets our internal safety and quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to help prevent future equipment failures and improve long-term system reliability.
  • Facilitate team communication through regular shift briefings and safety meetings.
  • Contribute to the success of capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility-wide improvement initiatives.
  • Execute additional tasks and special assignments as needed to support the broader facility goals.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability to manage personnel and maintain high standards for productivity and safety across the department.
  • Strong analytical skills to solve complex problems in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Solid grasp of OSHA standards, food safety protocols, GMPs, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS software to manage maintenance programs and work order lifecycles.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, including electrical schematics and equipment manuals.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Capacity to balance competing priorities while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or trade certifications are highly valued.
  • Between 3 to 5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience within a production or food processing environment.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity overseeing maintenance teams.
  • Proven background in diagnosing and repairing automated production machinery and facility utilities.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software platforms.

Work Environment
