Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and basic biomedical support systems within the hospital. The role is critical in maintaining uninterrupted patient care services while adhering to safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC (air conditioning), DG sets, and lift systems
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules
• Coordinate with the biomedical team for equipment maintenance (OT, ICU, etc.)
• Attend and resolve emergency breakdowns promptly
• Manage AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) vendors
• Maintain daily maintenance logs and reports
• Ensure regular inspection of fire safety systems (alarms, extinguishers, hydrants)
• Monitor proper functioning of water supply and drainage systems
• Implement energy-saving initiatives
• Follow infection control and hospital safety protocols

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Basic understanding of biomedical equipment
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to manage teams and vendors
• Effective communication skills

Qualification:

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical
• Graduate
• B.E./B.Tech will be an added advantage (not mandatory)

Experience:

• 1–5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in hospital or facility management preferred
