Maintenance Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead our facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across our facilities. Your leadership will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safety standards are upheld, and maintenance procedures are executed effectively. Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and industrial systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Lead a team of technicians and maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to promote a high-performing work environment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Troubleshoot engineering issues related to mechanical systems repair, electrical systems, high voltage equipment, and HVAC systems using schematics, ohmmeters, voltmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment by conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.
• Manage facilities maintenance projects from planning through execution while adhering to budgetary guidelines and project timelines.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and safety incidents in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

• Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams in industrial or commercial settings.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in HVAC system repair, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), plumbing system maintenance, and industrial maintenance procedures.
• Proficiency with schematics, engineering troubleshooting techniques, CMMS software, Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), and safety regulations such as OSHA standards.
• Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters; familiarity with managing electrical systems including high voltage applications.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of maintenance repair procedures for mechanical systems repair and facilities management best practices.
• Effective communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and stakeholders clearly and professionally.
• Ability to interpret technical schematics and diagrams related to mechanical systems repair or electrical troubleshooting.
• Bilingual Spanish is not required but definitely a plus.
• Taking after hours emergency calls is required for all maintenance staff at the apartment community.

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
