Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor looking for a role where you can have real ownership and influence?

We’re looking for a Maintenance Supervisor (Electrical) to lead electrical maintenance activity across our site, managing and developing a skilled team of HV/LV Electrical Technicians.

This is much more than simply keeping maintenance schedules on track. You’ll be trusted to drive improvements in electrical reliability, solve complex maintenance issues, influence how we work and help develop best practice across the site.

Working alongside Maintenance, Production and Engineering, you’ll have the opportunity to make a tangible difference to equipment performance, reliability and safety while developing your team and strengthening our electrical maintenance capability.

If you’re an experienced electrical professional who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems and leading from the front, this could be a great opportunity to take the next step in your career.

Key Accountabilities & Duties

  • Lead and coordinate electrical maintenance activities across site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Supervise, support and develop a team of Electrical Maintenance Technicians, maintaining the skills and competencies required within the team.
  • Ensure electrical maintenance activities meet relevant statutory requirements, company standards and safe systems of work.
  • Maintain compliance with BS 7671, Electricity at Work Regulations, DSEAR, ATEX and applicable site electrical safety standards.
  • Act as the key point of contact for electrical maintenance, coordinating internal resources and external contractors.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Planner & Scheduler to ensure maintenance activities are effectively planned, risk assessed, resourced and delivered to schedule.
  • Lead investigations into electrical failures and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen maintenance performance and reduce equipment downtime.
  • Ensure the effective use of the CMMS, including work orders, asset records, maintenance plans and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to improve the reliability and performance of process and safety-critical equipment.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure activities comply with H&SE legislation, company policies and procedures.
  • Support maintenance budgeting activities, including contractor costs and spare parts expenditure.

About You

We’re looking for someone who combines strong electrical knowledge with confident, practical leadership.

You’ll be someone who:

  • Has a strong commitment to Safety, Quality, Environmental and Security standards.
  • Is proactive and comfortable identifying potential problems and finding practical solutions.
  • Can confidently lead, motivate, coach and develop a technical maintenance team.
  • Takes a continuous improvement approach and enjoys finding ways to improve maintenance performance and asset reliability.
  • Communicates confidently and can build strong working relationships across Maintenance, Production and Engineering.
  • Is comfortable working with contractors and coordinating multiple maintenance priorities.
  • Has strong IT skills and experience using CMMS systems, Microsoft Office and maintenance reporting tools.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Time-served electrical apprenticeship.
  • Knowledge and experience of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Electrical maintenance supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of electrical systems, PLCs, drives and industrial control systems.
  • Knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR requirements and safe systems of work.
  • Experience of managing/using CMMS systems.

Desirable:

  • Experience within COMAH, explosives, chemical, pharmaceutical or another highly regulated industry.
  • CompEx Ex01-Ex06.
  • IOSH Managing Safely.
