This global automotive manufacturer is seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Leader with a strong background in manufacturing maintenance and a proven ability to lead engineering teams within a high-volume production environment.

The successful Maintenance Team Leader will be responsible for coordinating a team of maintenance engineers across a 3-shift operation, ensuring maximum equipment reliability, driving continuous improvement activities, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and performance. The role will involve fault finding across electrical and mechanical systems, maintenance planning, root cause analysis, and supporting the ongoing development of the engineering team.

Maintenance Team Leader requirements

• Time-served Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering apprenticeship
• Previous Maintenance Team Leader, Supervisor or Senior Engineer experience
• Strong fault-finding ability across electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Experience within a manufacturing environment
• Preventative and corrective maintenance experience
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement experience
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Desirable experience

• Automotive manufacturing or Tier 1 supplier experience
• Siemens PLC fault finding
• ABB Robotics
• Hydraulic presses
• Conveyors and automated production equipment
• Furnaces, burners or casting equipment
• HNC/HND qualification
