What they need

Prime Health Ltd. is a rapidly growing NNHP (Natural and Non-prescription Health Product) manufacturing company based in Maple Ridge, BC, with a growing presence across North America, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.

We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician with experience in manufacturing equipment, mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and facility repairs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly on production machinery and responding quickly to equipment breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic plumbing systems.
  • Diagnose equipment breakdowns and identify the root cause of mechanical or operational issues.
  • Install, adjust, align, and repair production equipment and machinery.
  • Perform routine inspections of machinery and production areas to identify potential maintenance issues before breakdowns occur.
  • Support equipment changeovers, installations, modifications, and maintenance projects.
  • Maintain and repair components such as motors, pumps, bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, conveyors, and other power-transmission equipment.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, schematics, and technical instructions.
  • Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, repairs, work orders, parts, and materials used.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance tools, spare parts, and supplies.
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), GMP, workplace safety, and company procedures.
  • Coordinate with Production and other departments to address equipment and facility maintenance requirements.
  • Perform general facility maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building repairs as required.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience maintaining production machinery and industrial equipment.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and electrical schematics.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and maintenance documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize urgent equipment breakdowns.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work overtime and respond to maintenance emergencies when required.
  • GMP experience in a food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Trade certification such as Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, Electrician, or related technical training is an asset.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should have hands-on maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, natural health products, food manufacturing, or other regulated manufacturing environment, rather than primarily in general building maintenance or handyman work. Experience troubleshooting and maintaining production and packaging machinery in a manufacturing environment will be strongly preferred.
