Maintenance Technicians – 1st & 3rd Shift

Starting at $25.00+/hour, based on experience

Plastics Unlimited is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team in Preston, Iowa. We currently have opportunities available on 1st and 3rd shift.

This is a hands-on maintenance position for someone who has strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, understands manufacturing equipment, and is comfortable working independently to keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues and determine appropriate repairs
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns
• Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to communicate effectively with production employees and management
• Electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, or fabrication experience is a plus

3rd Shift Training

Candidates hired for 3rd shift will initially train on 1st shift for approximately 1–2 months, depending on experience and individual training needs. Upon successful completion of training, the position will transition to 3rd shift.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting pay is $25.00/hour or higher based on experience.
