Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, skilled Maintenance Technician to keep our residential properties safe, functional, and well-maintained. You will independently handle routine repairs, unit turnovers, property inspections, and seasonal needs across Chittenden County.

Key Responsibilities

• Repairs & Maintenance: Perform routine plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
• Turnovers & Inspections: Complete unit turns (painting, cleaning, general repairs) between tenants and address city inspection items to meet code.
• Grounds Maintenance: Assist with exterior upkeep, seasonal maintenance, and general property cleanup.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow safety protocols, maintain work records, and complete required RRPM/lead-paint certifications (paid for by FPM).
• Communication: Log work orders and upload photos daily using property management software; coordinate effectively with tenants and our operations team.
• On Call Rotation: Be willing to participate bi weekly in on call rotation.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in property maintenance, facilities management, or a related trade.
• Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Requirements: Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and pass a background check.
• Availability: Willingness to participate in a paid 24/7 emergency on-call rotation.
• RRPM: Be RRPM certified or be willing to become certified.

• Pay & Hours: $28-$33/hr dependent on experience; 30-40 hours/week with overtime opportunities.
