Maintenance Technician (Administrative)

Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for an Administrative Maintenance Technician, located in their Ft. Meade MD facility.

This is an Administrative role (no hands-on maintenance experience required), ideal for a Jr. Technician who has some sort of technical background & knowledge.

Experience with Maintenance Management System (preferably similar to IBM Maximo) is highly preferred and will give you a huge advantage over other candidates!

Compensation: $25.00-29.00/hour

What You Will Do:

Administrative maintenance role. This is not a hands-on technician, supply chain or logistical position. This role will begin in a 100% administrative capacity, with ample opportunity to grow into a larger role within the company. Ideally looking for someone with very junior technician; no hands-on Maintenance experience is required, but must have some sort of technical background & knowledge of Maintenance Management System.

• Looking for someone who has a basic understanding of mechanical and/or electrical/electronic systems and terminology, but wants to work primarily on the administrative side of maintenance.
• Responsible for creating, entering, updating, and monitoring maintenance work orders within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Will help ensure maintenance work orders are properly documented, tracked, and moving through the repair cycle.
• Support technicians by ensuring the appropriate parts and maintenance information are captured within work orders.
• Assist with pars tracking and maintenance KPI/reporting processes.

Education and Work Experience:

• At least 4 years of Active Duty US Military experience required
• Basic understanding of mechanical and/or electrical/electronic systems and terminology required
• Software experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) similar to IBM Maximo (Work Order Management/maintain tight control of process work orders, support Inventory levels, track KPIs to control repair cycles, etc.) highly preferred
