Maintenance Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced carpenter who is hardworking, reliable and qualified to join our team at Tangalooma Island Resort.

Who we are looking for:

· Minimum 3-5 years of carpentry experience required

· Demonstrated knowledge with experience in the building industry with a minimum trade qualification in Carpentry

· Certificate IV in Carpentry or equivalent qualification

· Ability to perform hands-on carpentry duties including general maintenance

· Strong safety initiative, an understanding of WHS on the site to ensure works are being undertaken safely and obligations within the Industry are adhered to

· Excellent time management and communication skills

· High levels of attention to detail and accuracy

· Be reliable and trustworthy.

· Ability to work well with others in a team environment however also work autonomously

· General knowledge of the construction industry and environmental principles and relevant legislation/standards

· Licences for general machinery and other certificates (working at heights etc) will be highly regarded

Essential needs of the role:

· Qualifications in the carpentry trade

· Construction White Card

· Own tools

· Ability to legally work and live within Australia.

This is a live-in position with accommodation and all meals provided (board charges apply).

Remuneration will be discussed at time of interview.
