Maintenance Technician/ Cleaner

National Investments, an affiliate of the Carpionato Group, has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician/Cleaner responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of one of the Company's more than 1,500 units of HUD subsidized Section 8 housing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Under the direction of a Maintenance Lead, performs general cleaning functions consisting of sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, as well as removal of trash and debris from the site.
• Prepares housing units for new occupancy ensuring no visible repairs are needed and appliances are in working order.
• Performs basic repairs to air conditioning systems including fixing electrical switches, unclogging drains, and replacing basic machine parts.
• Replaces and treats structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, and building exteriors.
• Performs basic landscaping functions including picking up litter, raking leaves, sweeping sidewalks, etc.
• Assists Maintenance Lead with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, masonary work, and snow removal.
• Works an on call schedule on a rotational basis.

WORK EXPERIENCE: * Highschool graduate preferred.

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and heating systems.
• Ability to lift more than 50 pounds.
• Driver License required.
• At least 2 to 3 years general maintenance experience
• Pre-employment background check required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
