Maintenance Technician

Key Functions and Responsibilities

1.                   Follow, without exception, all work instructions and safety policies, including use of all PPE and safety equipment

2.                   Examine machine controls to install plate changeovers and start up machines for production needs when required

3.                   Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery

4.                   Repair basic mechanical components and replace parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches

5.                   Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of problem

6.                   Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts

7.                   Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments

8.                   Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements

9.                   Lubricate and clean machinery and support equipment to maintain housekeeping and preventive maintenance standards within the plant

10.               Document and track changeover times and record

11.               Accomplish all work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; decrease scrap; improve quality production; and improve plant efficiency

12.               Follows all safety rules and procedures including Lockout/Tagout program, housekeeping, and 5S standards and observes the operations to insure a safe work environment

13.               Assist the HOD with request of quotations for maintenance supplies.

14.               Perform other related duties as assigned

Skill/Experience

1.              Minimum 3 years working experience in manufacturing environment.

2.              Willing to work after working hour or during non-working days.

3.              Able to repair and rectify faulty Hydraulic and Pneumatic System and devices.

4.              Knowledge of machining will be added advantage.

5.              Fluent in English.

Education

1.         Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in mechanical/electrical engineering or relevant trade certificates.
