Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep and repair of equipment and machinery at our sports and recreational facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all facility systems operate safely, efficiently, and in optimal condition for staff and patrons alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on water pumps, lighting systems, air-conditioning units, and other facility machinery.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and plumbing faults promptly to minimise equipment downtime.
• Respond to urgent repair requests and breakdowns during operational hours, including on weekends and public holidays where scheduled.
• Ensure all equipment and systems comply with applicable safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and flag recurring issues for management attention.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialised repairs or servicing as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• SPM or equivalent; a technical certification in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical engineering is an added advantage.
• Prior experience in facility or building maintenance, ideally within a sports, recreational, or hospitality environment.
• Physically fit, with the ability to perform manual tasks including working at heights or in confined spaces where necessary.
• Able to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and respond effectively under time pressure.
• Willing to work on a shift basis in accordance with facility operating hours.
