- Fault-finding and root cause analysis to minimise breakdowns and extend plant life
- Managing mechanical spare parts inventory and the equipment refurbishment process
- Supporting plant shutdowns and safe machinery isolation
- Helping develop Standard Operating Procedures and train the operations teams
- Maintaining high housekeeping and 5S standards
- Contributing to health and safety, cost control, and continuous improvement
What You'll Bring
- Qualified Mechanical Technician - Mechanical Trade Certificate or equivalent
- Proven maintenance fitter experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Welding experience across MIG, TIG and Arc
- Experience with conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, chains and drive systems
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Basic electrical fault-finding and industrial controls
- Experience with pumps, motors and industrial machinery
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics
- Strong fault-finding and practical problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with SOPs, 5S and safe work practices
- Computer literacy and competent written and verbal English
- Full NZ Class 1 driver's licence
- Ability to work day and night shifts as required
- Physically capable of manual handling up to 20kg, working at heights and in confined spaces
Benefits
- Health insurance (subject to eligibility criteria)
- Access to company partner discounts
- Employee Assistance Programme
