Maintenance Technician

About the role

Maintenance and improvement of machinery and equipment used to support production through both preventive and predictive maintenance according to established plans. The role involves executing machinery maintenance plans according to monthly and annual schedules, improving machinery safety, reducing emergency machinery shutdowns, and increasing machinery production efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily machinery inspections and report abnormalities to users and supervisors to enable correction and prevention before unexpected machinery shutdowns
• Document detailed records of repairs, maintenance, machinery and spare parts used, and tools consumed in work orders and loss recording systems for each production line, and report to supervisors daily
• Report machinery and equipment abnormalities through shift handover reports each morning
• Conduct inspections and improvements to machinery and equipment supporting production according to monthly and annual maintenance plans and predictive maintenance plans, or as directed by supervisors
• Perform maintenance on lighting systems, air conditioning systems, water supply systems, wastewater treatment systems, inspect MDB and load distributors according to maintenance plans or as directed by supervisors
• Repair machinery in cases of emergency machinery shutdowns
• Complete and close work orders with comprehensive data recording in the Zeal Maintenance system on an ongoing basis
• Properly maintain tools and equipment used in machinery maintenance work
• Inspect and record water quality values, gas supply, and boiler operation comprehensively and consistently
• Come to the factory to work when requested by supervisors or in cases of emergency machinery shutdowns

About you

• High Vocational Certificate (Vocational Diploma) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive, Electrical Power, Electronics, or Mechatronics
• At least 2 years of experience in preventive machinery maintenance
• At least 2 years of experience in machinery repair
• At least 2 years of experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Able to read and write mechanical drawings well
• At least 2 years of experience in electrical work, able to read electrical drawings and perform electrical repairs
• Experience with machinery control using PLC programming
• Able to perform work on lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, cutting machines, and grinding machines
• Passed boiler operator training and holds a license to control and operate steam boilers
• Holds a certification for natural gas station operator training and can perform duties to control, monitor, and maintain natural gas stations safely without pollution
• Holds a certification for confined space work training and can perform duties as an authorized person, work supervisor, attendant, and worker in confined spaces
• Able to work on rotating shifts
