Job Summary

We are looking for a Utility Operator / Utility Helper to support the operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of utility equipment and systems. The candidate will assist the Utility/Maintenance team in ensuring smooth and uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor utility equipment as per standard operating procedures.
• Assist in operation of compressors, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, DG sets, HVAC systems, and other utility equipment.
• Check equipment parameters such as pressure, temperature, current, water level, etc.
• Carry out routine inspection and identify abnormalities in utility equipment.
• Assist maintenance technicians during preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Maintain utility area cleanliness and follow 5S practices.
• Record equipment readings and maintain daily utility log sheets.
• Check water, air, electrical and other utility supply as required.
• Support minor mechanical/electrical activities under supervision.
• Follow LOTO, PPE and all safety procedures while working.
• Report equipment abnormalities, leakage, unusual noise, vibration or breakdowns to the supervisor.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions in the utility area.
• Perform other utility-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of industrial utility equipment.
• Basic mechanical/electrical knowledge.
• Ability to understand equipment readings and gauges.
• Basic knowledge of tools and maintenance activities.
• Good observation and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts.
• Team player with a responsible and disciplined approach.
• Knowledge of 5S and industrial safety will be an advantage.

Eligibility

• ITI Fitter
• 1–2 years of experience in utility, maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial plant operations.
