Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. This role supports the achievement of the site’s business goals by executing safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.

Essential Functions

· Technical Repair & Troubleshooting: Perform advanced mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machinery.

· Emergency & Routine Maintenance: Provide rapid response for emergency/unscheduled repairs during production, and execute planned, scheduled maintenance routines during designated machine service windows.

· Diagnostics & Adjustments: Diagnose equipment issues, replace or repair parts, test systems, and make precise adjustments following any equipment malfunction or breakdown.

· Preventative & Predictive Maintenance (PM): Perform regular preventive and predictive maintenance logs on plant facilities and machinery, focusing on minimizing operational downtime.

· Vendor & OEM Collaboration: Partner with machine manufacturers and external technicians during complex troubleshooting, emergency repairs, and annual PMs to continuous expand internal equipment knowledge.

· Blueprint & Document Interpretation: Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and digital work orders to execute required maintenance tasks accurately.

· Facilities Maintenance: Perform light machinist, plumbing, and carpentry functions as required to maintain the structural integrity of the facility.

· Tool & Inventory Management: Utilize a wide variety of hand and power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment while maintaining tool-room organization and stock inventory.

· Safety & Compliance: Strictly comply with all health and safety regulations, identify and report faulty operations or unusual situations, and maintain clean, orderly work areas.

· Schedule Flexibility: Maintain flexibility to work outside standard hours—including pre-shift setup, post-shift handoffs, or weekend work—to complete necessary maintenance or undergo specialized training.

· Other Duties: Execute additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Skills & Abilities

Education: High School Diploma or GED required Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plus

Experience: 4+ years of industrial manufacturing experience. Strong proficiency in hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanics and industrial systems, with some PLC experience and HVAC required. Experience with vacuum furnace is strongly preferred.

Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency (e.g., navigating CMMS work order software, digital logs, or standard Microsoft applications).

Certifications & Licenses: Relevant technical certifications or licenses are a plus, though not required.

Pay: $29.25 - $33.00 per hour
