Maintenance Technician

Are you hands-on, mechanically minded and ready to build a career in engineering?

We are looking for motivated and reliable individuals to join an Engineering and Maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience, work alongside experienced tradespeople and potentially progress into an Engineering / Fitter Turner apprenticeship.
No previous engineering experience is essential - we’re looking for the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn!
Position: Monday - Friday
Start Time: 5:00 AM
Pay: $27 - $28 per hour
Employment Type: Temporary with potential for ongoing work
Apprenticeship Pathway: Potential Engineering / Fitter Turner apprenticeship

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist experienced maintenance technicians and fitters
• Complete general engineering and maintenance tasks
• Assist with machinery maintenance and basic repairs
• Use hand and power tools safely
• Assist with machinery troubleshooting
• Complete general workshop duties
• Support the team with day-to-day maintenance requirements
• Keep work areas clean, organised and safe
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Learn new engineering and mechanical skills on the job
