Apartment Maintenance Technician

We are searching for a reliable apartment maintenance technician to oversee the day-to-day running of our apartment buildings. The apartment maintenance technician responsibilities include painting, electrical, plumbing and carpentry duties. You should also be able to resolve tenants maintenance-related queries and as they arise. To be successful as an apartment maintenance technician, you should demonstrate an organized, thorough approach to your duties. Ultimately, an outstanding apartment maintenance technician will remain abreast of technological advances that could facilitate their functions in this role.

Responsibilities:

 Repairing doorknobs, locks, hinges, and gates, as required.

 Repairing and unclogging toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and exterior drains.

 Repairing or replacing Appliances.

 Installing and repairing wires, plugs, switches and ceiling fans ect….

 Work on HVAC equipment if needed, replace filters, clean ac ect….

 Painting apartments’ internal walls.

 Disposing of trash found in or around communal areas, building and parking areas.

 Tracking inventory to ensure that you have adequate maintenance supplies.

 Turning apartments, for new tenants move ins.

 Making keys for apartments in instances where tenants are moving in or have lost or forgotten their keys.

 Maintaining the exterior grounds of the property and conducting seasonal duties such as snow removal, mowing and pool maintenance

Requirements:

 High school diploma or equivalent.

 Prior experience as an apartment maintenance technician

or in a similar role.

 HVAC, or equivalent certification is a bonus but not required.

 Ability to stand for extended periods.

 Ability to lift up to 70 pounds without assistance.

 Dexterity and attention to detail.

 Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

 Available to work on weekends, if required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
