Maintenance Technician

Requirements:

1. Technical Diploma or Certification in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electricity, or related field.
2. 3+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing or industrial automation.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motor controls, and industrial automation.
4. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
5. Experience with troubleshooting VFDs, sensors, control panels, and power distribution systems.
6. Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
7. Familiarity with safety procedures (PPE. electrical codes, and OSHA standards).
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting

1. Perform routine inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, panels, and wiring.
2. Diagnose and fix electrical failures in industrial machinery, production lines, and utilities.
3. Repair or replace faulty wiring, motors, relays, circuit breakers, and sensors.
4. Ensure electrical systems comply with safety regulations and company standards.

Installation & Upgrades

1. Install and configure new electrical equipment, control panels, and wiring.
2. Support machine upgrades, modifications, and automation projects
3. Assist in commissioning and integrating new production equipments

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

1. Conduct regular preventive maintenance ion electrical systems to reduce breakdowns
2. Monitor and test electrical loads, circuits, and energy consumption to optimise efficiency.
3. Utilise predictive maintenance tools (thermal imaging, vibration analysis, etc.) to detect early failures.

Safety & Compliance

1. Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies
2. Follow Food Safety procedures to ensure process safety.
3. Maintain proper documentation of electrical maintenance work and inspections.
4. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
5. Work closely with maintenance technicians, process improvement, and production operators to resolve issues
6. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine reliability and reduce energy costs.
7. Support the implementation of automation and electrical efficiency projects
