Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are currently hiring a Maintenance Technician for one of our clients in Etobicoke, ON. Our client operates in the food manufacturing industry and is looking for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team.

Position: Maintenance Technician

Work Location: Etobicoke, ON M9B 3S3
Pay Rate: $35.00/hour
Shift: 6:00 AM start
Duration: 4-week placement with the possibility of permanent employment
Industry: Food Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Identify equipment issues and complete repairs in a timely manner.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
• Assist with installation, setup, and modification of machinery and production equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Follow all workplace health and safety, food safety, and company procedures.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and provide timely technical support to the production team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a food manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and industrial equipment is an asset.
• Ability to diagnose equipment problems and perform repairs efficiently.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and safety conscious.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay: $33.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Etobicoke, ON M9B 3S3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• Food industry: 1 year (required)
• Maintenance Technician: 1 year (required)
