Maintenance Technician

Full-Time Maintenance / Handyperson – $19.00 to $23.00/hr
Guelph Cambridge Kitchener Waterloo
Monday–Friday | 8–10 hours/day | Paid twice monthly

Responsibilities

• Basic plumbing repairs (leaky faucets, toilet repairs, unclogging drains)
• Drywall patching and painting
• Lock changes and door hardware repairs
• Installing blinds, shelving, smoke detectors, and fixtures
• Appliance installation and minor appliance repairs
• Minor electrical work (switches, outlets, light fixtures)
• General property repairs and preventative maintenance
• Moving furniture and preparing units between tenants
• Inspecting properties and identifying maintenance concerns
• Picking up materials and maintaining an organized work vehicle
• Communicating with the office when arriving at a job, what was completed, and what remains outstanding
• Leaving the work area clean and tidy after completing each job

We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Has experience in general maintenance, handy work, renovations, or property maintenance
• Is dependable and shows up on time
• Can work independently and manage their day efficiently
• Has strong problem-solving skills
• Communicates professionally with tenants and homeowners
• Takes pride in clean, quality work
• Has a valid G driver's licence and reliable transportation
• Can lift 50 lbs and perform physical work throughout the day

Assets (Not Required)

• Experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry
• Previous experience working in residential rental properties
• Own basic hand tools
