Maintenance Technician

Job Responsibility:

1. Perform all assigned tasks and comply with all safety rules, regulations, and requirements at all times, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and other applicable safety procedures.
2. Ensure that all machines and processes are operating at optimum condition.
3. Conduct work and motion studies of current processes to establish benchmarks and drive continuous process improvement.
4. Perform weekly preventive maintenance to minimize the risk of machine breakdowns.
5. Carry out regular maintenance activities, particularly mechanical, electrical, and electronic maintenance of all machines and production lines to ensure maximum uptime.
6. Continuously improve, upgrade, and build machines to enhance product quality, machine performance, safety, and reliability.
7. Troubleshoot and repair machine faults promptly and effectively.
8. Recommend, source, and procure mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, spare parts, and accessories for repairs, replacements, and machine enhancements.
9. Ensure machines and work areas are cleaned and maintained in good condition after repair or maintenance work.
10. Maintain adequate stock levels of frequently used spare parts and inform the superior when stock levels are low.
11. Perform electrical wiring projects, machine wiring, re-wiring, and other repair works for both factory and office facilities.
12. Comply with all requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO standards.
13. Perform any other lawful duties and responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.

Education & Knowledge Level:

1. Minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment.
2. Ability to understand and interpret electrical and electronic circuit layouts, schematics, and technical drawings is an advantage.
3. Good knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance practices, and safety requirements.
4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
5. Ability to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia.
6. Basic knowledge of PLCs, motor control systems, and industrial automation is an advantage.
7. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
8. Willingness and ability to work on a rotating shift schedule, including day and night shifts.
9. Strong commitment to punctuality, attendance, and workplace discipline.
