Maintenance Technician

Role and Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
• Dismantle machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
• Determine changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
• Maintain inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
• Provide internal training to production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
• Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. (Downtime)
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. (DOSH/JKKP)

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Must hold a certificate or diploma in a related field.
• Completion of an industrial maintenance apprenticeship program is a plus.
• Experience with industrial maintenance required; corrective/breakdown experience preferred.
• Thorough working knowledge of industrial equipment, its usage, and safety procedures.
• Self-motivated, responsible and safety oriented individual.
• Learn and apply standard tools and techniques to solve problems.
• Demonstrates a positive “can-do” attitude.
• Takes responsibility for self-performance (Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently).
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results and meeting expectations.
• OT required if applicable

Preferred Skills

• Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of system maintenance.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations.
• Skilled in analyzing information and creating reports.
