Maintenance Technician – Multi-Site

Pay: $25.00–$35.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Technician to complete general facility maintenance and work orders across multiple commercial properties throughout the Greater Seattle Area.

This is a mobile position. Employees will travel between multiple assigned sites during the workday using their personal vehicle. Business mileage between assigned work locations will be reimbursed at the applicable federal mileage reimbursement rate.

The ideal candidate is a well-rounded maintenance professional who can evaluate general facility issues, determine practical solutions, perform quality repairs, and independently manage assigned work orders from start to completion.

Responsibilities

· Travel between multiple assigned properties throughout the workday

· Receive, prioritize, and complete general facility maintenance work orders

· Evaluate maintenance issues and determine appropriate next steps

· Perform routine building and facility repairs

· Perform minor drywall patching, touch-up painting, caulking, and finish repairs

· Repair and adjust doors, hinges, cabinets, shelving, hardware, and similar building components

· Assemble and install furniture, fixtures, accessories, and other general facility items

· Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks

· Conduct general property and facility inspections

· Identify maintenance concerns and report conditions requiring additional attention

· Recognize work requiring specialized contractors and escalate those items appropriately

· Assist with furniture, equipment, and facility setup or relocation as needed

· Respond to general facility and tenant work orders

· Communicate repair status and site conditions to management

· Document completed work, materials used, and outstanding issues

· Pick up materials and supplies as necessary

· Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and materials

· Interact professionally with property managers, tenants, customers, vendors, and other team members

· Follow company safety procedures and applicable requirements

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a technician who can be given a list of work orders and be trusted to manage them professionally from start to finish.

The right candidate should have strong general maintenance knowledge, good mechanical aptitude, and the ability to assess problems and determine practical solutions without requiring constant supervision. Just as importantly, they should recognize when an issue is outside the scope of general maintenance and needs to be escalated.

This position requires someone who is organized, resourceful, dependable, and comfortable working at multiple properties throughout the day. Strong communication and customer service skills are important because technicians regularly interact with property staff, tenants, customers, vendors, and management.

Qualifications

· Minimum 3 years of relevant commercial building maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, handyman, or similar experience

· Strong general building maintenance and repair knowledge

· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

· Experience safely using common hand and power tools

· Ability to independently evaluate and complete general maintenance work orders

· Ability to recognize when specialized assistance or additional resources are required

· Ability to manage multiple work orders and priorities throughout the day

· Strong communication and customer service skills

· Dependable attendance and punctuality

· Valid driver’s license

· Reliable personal vehicle

· Ability and willingness to travel between multiple sites throughout the Greater Seattle Area during the workday

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

· Ability to perform physical maintenance work, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing, lifting, and carrying

· Ability to safely use ladders and common maintenance equipment

Tools & Equipment

Maintenance Technicians are expected to provide their own basic hand tools necessary to perform routine general maintenance work.

Company-required power tools and specialized equipment will be provided.

Schedule & Travel

Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Travel between assigned properties during the workday is a required part of this position. Employees will use their personal vehicles, and eligible business mileage between assigned work locations will be reimbursed at the applicable federal mileage reimbursement rate.

Occasional overtime or on-call work may be required based on operational needs but is not expected to be frequent.

Compensation & Benefits

$25.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience, skill level, and qualifications.
