Maintenance Technician

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and functionality of our property, including handling make-ready tasks and addressing general apartment service requests. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the proper operation of appliances, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and other building equipment.
• Complete make-ready tasks to prepare apartments for new residents, including cleaning, repairs, and inspections.
• Respond promptly to service requests from residents related to maintenance issues or apartment needs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to identify potential issues before they become significant problems.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist with emergency repairs as needed to minimize downtime and inconvenience for residents.

Skills

• Proven experience in general maintenance or a similar role within property management or facilities management.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and appliance repair.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and respond effectively to resident requests.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
