Maintenance Technician

Richards Mfg., formerly known as Chardon Custom Polymers, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our location in Chardon, OH.

General Description:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal functioning of all equipment and machines at our facility. The industrial maintenance mechanic's responsibilities include identifying faulty equipment, making relevant adjustments to machinery, carrying out maintenance tasks in a conservative manner, and maintaining technical knowledge through refresher workshops. We are seeking candidates that can work 2nd shift (2pm - 10pm Monday - Friday) and will have a shift differential of $1.75 per hour.

To be successful as a Maintenance Technician, you should have a passion for understanding how things work and have sharp senses that help you locate minor faults quickly. An outstanding industrial maintenance mechanic should stay informed on developments in their field.

The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently or as part of a maintenance team. Strong communication skills are a necessary part of this position.

Reports to: Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities and duties:

· Service pumps, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC automated systems.

· Interact with work instructions and maintain inventory of parts using CMMS Software.

· Performing scheduled inspections, servicing, and testing of equipment, PM.

· Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment.

· Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.

· Troubleshooting malfunctions.

· Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment

· Work overtime as needed

· Perform and approve LOTO permits

Educational Qualifications:

· Required: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

· Preferred: Mechanical Technology Degree

· Preferred: Mechanical Certifications demonstrating ability to perform Hand-On maintenance.

Pay: $28.00 - $29.45 per hour
