About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a fast-paced manufacturing operation in Troy, Ohio. This position plays a critical role in keeping production equipment and facility systems operating safely, reliably, and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience maintaining manufacturing equipment. If you enjoy diagnosing problems, working on a variety of equipment, and helping minimize production downtime, this could be a great opportunity. Rotating 2nd shift, Tuesday-Friday then Monday-Thursday, 3 pm - 1 am.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment issues.
• Repair and replace motors, bearings, gears, shafts, and other mechanical components.
• Inspect equipment for unusual sounds, performance issues, or potential failures.
• Support maintenance and troubleshooting of older or legacy manufacturing equipment.
• Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and general facility repairs as needed.
• Partner with production teams to identify equipment issues and recommend improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts, and supplies.
• Maintain inventory of critical repair and replacement parts.
• Assist outside contractors with facility and equipment projects.
• Support plant safety initiatives and identify opportunities to improve workplace safety.
• Operate forklifts and clamp trucks as required.
• Participate in general facility maintenance, including grounds and seasonal needs.
• Provide off-shift maintenance support when scheduled for on-call coverage.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment repair experience.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Experience maintaining older or legacy manufacturing equipment strongly preferred.
• Paper converting or similar manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with maintenance tools, gauges, and measuring devices.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, schematics, and diagrams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with production, quality, technical, and leadership teams.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on manufacturing position requiring frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing, bending, kneeling, and working around industrial equipment. The position may require lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds . Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the role.

Employment Type: Full-Time | Hourly, Non-Exempt- It is a rotating 2nd shift, Tuesday-Friday then Monday-Thursday, 3 pm - 1 am. Hourly rate up to 37.00, plus a 1.75 shift differential.
