What they need
- Perform routine building maintenance and minor repairs including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and basic HVAC troubleshooting.
- Maintain facility grounds and common areas to ensure safety and neatness.
- Manage room turns and prepare apartments for new residents moving into the community.
- Respond promptly to maintenance work orders submitted by staff and residents.
- Routinely inspect emergency systems (lighting, call bells, door alarms) to ensure full compliance with state safety regulations.
- 2 years of general maintenance, handyman, or apartment turnover experience.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a respectful, compassionate attitude toward elderly residents.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
