What they need

Maintenance Technician – Vitamin & Supplement Manufacturing
| Reno, NV | Full-Time | $38–$45/hour, DOE

We're a small, growing vitamin and supplement manufacturer in Reno, and we're looking for one dependable, skilled technician to keep our plant running. This isn't a job where you'll be one of twenty techs on a shift. You'll own the equipment, and your work will directly decide whether we hit our production schedule. If you like being the go-to person who can figure things out and fix them right the first time, we want to talk to you.

What you'll do

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment such as encapsulators, tablet presses, blenders, bottling and packaging lines, and compressors
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems, motors, controls, and wiring
  • Install, set up, and commission new equipment
  • Build and follow a preventive maintenance program to keep downtime to a minimum
  • Keep maintenance, cleaning, and calibration records in line with FDA GMP requirements (21 CFR Part 111)
  • Run production equipment and support operations when needed
  • Manage spare parts and work with outside vendors and contractors

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food, pharma, nutraceutical, or another GMP-regulated setting
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills: reading schematics, working with 3-phase power, motors, VFDs, and basic PLC controls
  • Solid mechanical skills: pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize without close supervision
  • A track record of reliability. We need someone we can count on.
  • Availability for occasional after-hours calls or overtime when equipment goes down
  • Preferred: electrical certification or license, experience with capsule or tablet equipment, and welding or fabrication skills

What we offer

  • Competitive pay: $38–$45/hour depending on experience (about $79,000–$94,000/year, plus overtime)
  • [Health, dental, vision insurance]
  • [Paid time off and holidays]
  • [401(k) or retirement plan]
  • Overtime pay
  • A small-company environment where your work is seen and valued

To apply, send your resume and a short note about the equipment you've maintained to

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Benefits:

  • 401(k)
  • Dental insurance
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Vision insurance
