Maintenance Technician

Duties

• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), refrigeration, and other building systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances, HVAC/R units, refrigeration systems, and mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals
• Conduct detailed inspections of electrical wiring, plumbing, air conditioning units, and construction elements to identify potential issues early
• Use schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose complex problems accurately and efficiently
• Lead small maintenance projects or assist in larger construction or renovation efforts as needed
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts used for accountability and future reference
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime and ensure safety

Skills

• Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints with confidence
• Solid knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units and ventilation systems
• Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair and general maintenance practices
• Familiarity with construction processes and safety standards related to building upkeep
• Leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or lead small teams during maintenance tasks
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to diagnosing issues quickly and accurately
