Maintenance Technician

Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, kitchen equipment, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, and mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
• Install new appliances and HVAC components following manufacturer specifications and safety protocols.
• Conduct complex repairs involving air conditioning units, mechanical systems, and refrigeration equipment to minimize downtime.
• Operate company vehicles safely for on-site maintenance tasks or equipment transportation as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used in compliance with operational procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in construction or renovation projects when required.

Experience

• Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, or mechanical systems repair.
• Demonstrated ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints for troubleshooting complex equipment issues.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, refrigeration maintenance, kitchen equipment servicing, and appliance installation.
• Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) practices within commercial or industrial environments.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills; leadership qualities are a plus for mentoring junior staff.
• Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles safely in various settings.
• Construction experience or familiarity with building systems is advantageous but not required.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
