Maintenance Technician

Isotec International is a growing specialty chemical manufacturing company looking for a dependable, hardworking, hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team in Canton, GA. This is a hands-on position supporting the day-to-day operation and upkeep of our manufacturing facility. We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, willing to learn, isn't afraid to get their hands dirty, and takes pride in getting things done. You do not need to be an expert electrician, plumber, welder, or mechanic. We are primarily looking for someone who can perform general maintenance tasks, assist with larger projects, troubleshoot basic problems, use common tools, and help keep our facility and equipment operating properly. Manufacturing experience is preferred, but a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are just as important.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities will vary based on the needs of the plant and may include:

• Perform general maintenance and upkeep throughout the manufacturing facility
• Assist with preventative maintenance, repairs, equipment setup, and installations
• Help maintain pumps, motors, mixers, reactors, valves, piping, and other production equipment
• Replace basic mechanical components, hardware, hoses, fittings, belts, guards, etc.
• Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other maintenance equipment
• Perform general building and facility maintenance, including painting, patching, cleaning, and repairs
• Help transport equipment and materials between facilities
• Maintain maintenance areas, tools, equipment, and supplies
• Assist skilled contractors or technicians when specialized work is required
• Identify and report equipment problems and maintenance concerns
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Perform other maintenance and facility-related tasks as needed

Qualifications Required

• Good driving record
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic hand and power tools
• Able to follow instructions and work safely
• Willingness to perform a variety of physical and hands-on tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to safely work in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and maintenance skills

Preferred

• Previous maintenance experience
• Experience working in a manufacturing facility
• Experience with industrial equipment
• Welding experience
• Basic electrical or plumbing experience
• Mechanical repair experience
• Experience with pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, piping, or similar equipment
• Forklift experience
• Preventative maintenance experience
• Experience reading basic mechanical drawings or equipment manuals

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
