Job Summary

Miami Jewish Health is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, safety, and operation of residential, healthcare, and facility spaces. This position performs general maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance while responding promptly to facility service needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility.
• Inspect building systems, equipment, fixtures, and common areas.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance records.
• Assist with facility improvements, repairs, and renovation projects.
• Follow safety procedures and applicable building requirements.
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Coordinate with other departments and outside service providers when needed.

Requirements

• Previous maintenance, facilities, or building repair experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools safely.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle maintenance materials as required.
• Healthcare or senior-living facility experience is a plus.
