Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain the interior and exterior of our brand-new hotel. In this role, you will protect our beautiful new asset by performing routine hospitality maintenance, troubleshooting guest room issues, and ensuring all mechanical systems function efficiently. You will play a vital role in guest satisfaction by keeping everything in 'like-new' condition.

Core Responsibilities

· Guest Room Care: Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests (TV troubleshooting, plumbing clogs, lighting, HVAC adjustments).

· Preventive Maintenance: Execute regular preventive maintenance schedules on guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, and back-of-house equipment.

· Property Upkeep: Perform basic repairs including drywall patching, painting, basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.

· Exterior & Amenities: Assist in maintaining our oceanfront pool/deck areas, walkways, and exterior grounds to ensure they remain safe and beautiful.

· Safety & Compliance: Monitor and maintain fire, life, and safety systems according to Marriott standards and local codes.

Qualifications

· Experience: Previous hotel maintenance or apartment turnover experience is strongly preferred, but we will train the right candidate with a strong background in general trades.

· Skills: Basic working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and painting/drywall.

· Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand or walk for extended periods.

· Schedule: Must have flexible full-time availability, including weekends and holidays (as hospitality operates 24/7).

· Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, a positive attitude, and a professional appearance suitable for guest interactions.
