Maintenance Technician

Part Time Maintenance Technician

20 hours per week, with weekend shifts

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preserving the good condition and functionality of premises. With a practical mind and attention to detail. The Maintenance Technician must be able to work freely and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines.

Essential Functions:

• Inspect and maintain the building and grounds.
• Respond to resident requests and work with residents to minimize/resolve problems and complaints. Follow-through to ensure the issue is resolved.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as HVAC, painting, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work. Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning equipment.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following safety protocols.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems. Keep records of all maintenance activities and supplies used.
• May drive company vehicle from community.
• May supervise the work of other associates and outside contractors.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:

• Level of Formal Education: A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a commercial or residential setting.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills to interact with tenants and address their maintenance needs.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
