Maintenance Technician – Skilled Nursing Facility

A well-established skilled nursing facility in the Jenkintown, PA area is seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on maintenance experience and be comfortable working in a healthcare or long-term care environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance throughout the facility.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address building-related concerns.
• Maintain and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and general building systems as qualified.
• Perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and other facility repairs.
• Inspect equipment and building systems to identify potential maintenance issues.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Assist with facility safety inspections and ensure maintenance concerns are addressed promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with emergency maintenance situations as needed.
• Follow all applicable safety, infection-control, and facility policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with facility leadership and other departments.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience required.
• Experience working in a skilled nursing facility, healthcare facility, hospital, assisted living community, or similar environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
• Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Ability to communicate professionally with residents, families, staff, and vendors.
• Must be able to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.
