Maintenance Technician

Overview
We are hiring a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician who has extraordinary energy, attitude, and attention to detail. We need someone who has the desire to work hard, excel, and grow within a great company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities maintenance and possess a variety of technical skills, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical, to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Travel between properties in our Tampa/St. Petersburg/Sarasota portfolio (mileage will be paid)
• Communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service with our team and with residents.
• Be punctual, remain organized, and work efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using AppFolio Property Manager.

Skills

• Excellent attitude and willingness to continue learning and work well with team members.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs on various equipment, most notably air handlers, condensers, plumbing fixtures and systems, and appliances.
• Proficient in electrical experience, including troubleshooting circuits and using a multimeter.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Customer service-oriented mindset to ensure satisfaction among residents and staff.
• Desire to grow into leadership roles within the company is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
