Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to assist with the daily maintenance and operation of a commercial office building in Baltimore, that is an affiliate. The technician will perform repairs, preventative maintenance, inspections, and renovation work while reporting building conditions, needed repairs, and potential issues directly to management.

What you'll do:

• Diagnose and complete common plumbing repairs, including toilets, faucets, valves, drains, leaks, and fixtures
• Install, cut, replace, grout, and repair floor and wall tile
• Perform drywall installation, patching, finishing, and repair
• Perform light/non-structural demolition, including removal of drywall, partitions, flooring, fixtures, and other finishes
• Perform basic framing, including constructing and modifying non-structural interior walls and partitions
• Perform painting, caulking, minor carpentry, and general finish work
• Repair ceiling tiles/grid, doors, locks, hinges, and hardware
• Perform routine building inspections and preventative maintenance
• Identify leaks, damage, equipment issues, and other building concerns and promptly report them to management
• Troubleshoot basic HVAC, mechanical, and electrical issues
• Complete tenant maintenance requests professionally and promptly
• Assist contractors and management with larger repairs and tenant improvement projects
• Maintain records of completed work, outstanding repairs, and materials needed
• Keep maintenance, mechanical, and work areas clean and organized

Skills & Requirements

• Hands-on plumbing repair experience required
• Hands-on tile installation and repair experience required
• Drywall installation and Basic framing/carpentry experience preferred
• Light demolition experience preferred
• Basic HVAC, electrical, and mechanical knowledge preferred
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Must be able to safely climb and work from ladders, perform overhead work, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
• Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 per week
