Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

The MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of equipment/machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical (PLCs) and other systems. The technician also possesses the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime. This position is responsible for the following main duties:

• Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and address potential issues before they cause breakdowns.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks including part replacement, lubrication of machinery, adjustments
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and PLC-related problems in order to determine appropriate solutions.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies
• Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
• Plan preventative, corrective and predictive maintenance of the production facilities and equipment
• Ensure adequate maintenance and conservation of production facilities, designing, planning and adjusting the necessary actions to ensure proper operation and avoiding unplanned stops

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE

• Associates or higher, or other technical field
• Well-versed in all maintenance process and health and safety regulations

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance
• Experience in assembly and commissioning of heavy industrial machinery, equipment and installations
• Experience in PLC programming
