Maintenance Technician

Ocean Club Condominiums is a 119-unit beachfront condominium association in Biloxi. We are looking for a dependable Maintenance Technician to join our on-site staff and help keep the building and grounds running smoothly.

We are seeking someone with a solid background in general facilities maintenance and a strong sense of customer service. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests with minimal disruption to owners and guests
• Clean and maintain the pool daily, including chemicals and equipment
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of common areas, mechanical rooms, stairwells, rooftop, and the parking garage to identify and resolve potential hazards
• Complete minor repairs including drywall patching, painting, fixture replacement, pressure washing, and mechanical troubleshooting
• Coordinate with third-party contractors for larger repairs, inspections, and scheduled servicing of elevators, fire suppression, and roof systems
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and maintenance logs
• Keep maintenance rooms, supply areas, and equipment storage clean, organized, and secure
• Support hurricane and severe weather preparation, including securing outdoor areas and handling storm-related repairs
• Work with HOA management to plan and prioritize building improvement projects and capital repairs

Qualifications

• Two or more years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in residential, hospitality, or commercial buildings
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical troubleshooting, plumbing, and general carpentry
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose issues independently
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable using digital work order or maintenance tracking systems
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. There is no company vehicle; mileage is reimbursed for approved use of a personal vehicle
• CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification a plus
• HVAC, EPA, or other trade certifications a plus
• Vocational or trade school training a plus

Schedule
Full-time. Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday, 7 AM to 4 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM. On call for building emergencies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
