Job Summary:

The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of

residential and/or commercial properties. This role ensures that all buildings, equipment, and

systems are functioning properly and kept in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. The ideal

candidate is a hands-on problem solver with a broad skill set in general repairs and preventive

maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform routine inspections of buildings, facilities, and equipment to identify and address

· maintenance needs.

· Carry out repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance

· servicing.

· Respond promptly to service requests and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and professional

· manner.

· Assist with turnover of vacant units, including cleaning, painting, repairs, and fixture replacements.

· Maintain common areas, including hallways, laundry rooms, stairwells, and outdoor spaces.

· Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule (e.g., changing filters, testing

· smoke detectors, etc.).

· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

· Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on jobs.

· Collaborate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary.

· Be on-call for emergency repairs during evenings, weekends, or holidays as scheduled.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training is a plus.

· 2+ years of general maintenance experience, preferably in property management.

· Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills.

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor, including climbing ladders and working in tight spaces.

· Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
