Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on industrial production equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment, including motors, bearings, belts, pulleys, conveyors, blowers, and pumps.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, leaks, and potential failures.
• Perform basic welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as qualified.
• Assist with installation and replacement of machinery and equipment.
• Perform routine facility maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain tools, parts, and maintenance work areas in an organized condition.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and completed work orders.
• Work with production personnel to identify and resolve equipment problems.
• Assist with scheduled shutdowns, equipment upgrades, and improvement projects.
• Follow all company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, respiratory protection, and required PPE.

Qualifications

Required:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform hands-on repairs.
• Dependable attendance and willingness to take ownership of assigned work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safe work practices and following established procedures.
• Ability to perform physical work in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Preferred:

• Previous industrial maintenance, millwright, mechanical, or manufacturing experience.
• Welding or metal fabrication experience.
• Familiarity with electric motors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatic systems, and industrial machinery.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
• Forklift, aerial lift, or other industrial equipment experience.

Work Environment

This position is located in an active industrial manufacturing facility that produces lead oxide. Employees must follow strict occupational health and safety procedures, including applicable lead-exposure controls, hygiene requirements, respiratory protection, and personal protective equipment requirements.

Training and required protective equipment will be provided.
