Maintenance Technician

About the role

MKS Workforce Management Services Inc is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on technician role based in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and upkeep of equipment and facilities to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. This role is essential to maintaining our operational standards and ensuring minimal downtime across our facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systems to ensure optimal performance
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues before they become critical problems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational faults using appropriate testing equipment
• Repair, replace, or adjust defective components and parts to restore equipment to working condition
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair calls
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to minimise disruption to operations
• Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties related to maintenance areas

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar technical maintenance role
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and maintenance manuals
• Ability to use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when required
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• A valid driver's licence is preferred
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in maintenance, electrical work, or mechanical engineering are advantageous
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, or building automation systems would be beneficial
