Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and bilingual Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance operations across multiple apartment complexes. This role involves managing routine repairs, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule. The ideal candidate will also have responsibilities related to showing and promoting available apartments, contributing to the overall resident experience. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential to effectively communicate with diverse tenants, vendors, and team members.

Duties

• Manage and coordinate maintenance activities across various apartment communities, ensuring timely completion of repairs and upkeep.
• Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish with tenants, contractors, and team members to facilitate smooth operations.
• Oversee maintenance schedules, prioritize tasks, and ensure work is completed according to quality standards.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors to facilitate repairs, renovations, or other maintenance projects.
• Conduct routine inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs and address issues proactively.
• Assist with showing apartments to prospective tenants and promote available units as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and vendor communications.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure all work complies with relevant safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in property or facilities maintenance, preferably within multi-unit residential settings.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required for effective communication across diverse groups.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with contractors, tenants, and team members.
• Ability to perform general repairs and maintenance tasks related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, etc. is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required for site visits or vendor coordination.
• A proactive approach with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
