Maintenance Technician

North American Seal & Supply is seeking a Shipping Associate to lead our shipping department for outbound shipments.

Responsibilities:

• Complete and log maintenance work for current preventive maintenance program
• Troubleshoot any equipment breakdowns or electrical and mechanical problems
• Install new equipment and relocate existing equipment as needed
• Assist with and support new equipment start up and calibration
• Isolate and addresses roof leaks, implement emergency containment to prevent water damage, and oversee contractor repairs to completion
• Maintain accurate equipment files, prints, and maintenance records
• Collaborate with Warehouse Manager and Department leads to align timing of maintenance activities to minimize disruption to production schedule
• Research and recommend equipment improvements or upgrades to enhance productivity and safety in warehouse operations
• Assist with fabrication and order completion with any excess capacity to support overall warehouse on time delivery goals

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to walk, bend and climb stairs frequently
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
• Proficient computer skills
• Working knowledge of electrical wiring, electronic controls troubleshooting, machining, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as job instructions, safety rules, procedure manuals, and equipment operating instructions
• The ability to mathematically work in US standard and metric measurement systems
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to represent the company in a positive and professional manner when interacting with customers and vendors
• Fork lift certification not required but a plus

Schedule: Full Time Monday- Friday Friday 8:00-4:30pm; Weeknight and weekend flex time or overtime required as needed to limit downtime

Founded in 1981, NASS specializes in distribution of seals; stamping of gaskets; fabrication of light duty conveyor belt; fabrication of hose products; machining and welding of plastic sheet, rod, and tube; and the fabrication of high temperature fiberglass and ceramic cloth. NASS operates out of a single location in Valley View, Ohio and is currently staffed by 14 employees with an average tenure of 13 years.
