Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:

• Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricates and cleans parts.
• Starts devices to test their performance.
• Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
• Programs PLC's.
• Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
• Repairs electrical equipment.
• Performs maintenance on production and office areas.
• Perform building upkeep tasks that include but are no limited too painting, sanitation, grounds keeping.
• Follows and ensures good manufacturing practices at all times
• Follows and adheres to the company's safety program
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance experience to include all phases of preventive and corrective maintenance, including industrial and/or commercial facilities maintenance is required.
• PLC programming experience.
• Basic computer skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $38.00 per hour
