About the Role

Sandia View Assisted Living is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to serve our 5 assisted living facility locations in Albuquerque, NM. This role keeps our buildings safe, comfortable, and looking their best for our residents — the people we care for every day. You will travel between our locations, turn over rooms as new clients move in, and handle general maintenance inside and out.

Responsibilities

• Travel between all 5 facility locations as needed throughout the work week.
• Turn over rooms as new residents move in — cleaning prep, repairs, painting, and getting units move-in ready.
• General handyman maintenance: doors, fixtures, hardware, basic plumbing, appliances, grab bars, and small repairs.
• Painting touch-ups and full room painting as needed.
• Yard and lawn maintenance: mowing, trimming, weeds, and seasonal cleanup at each location.
• Fixing and maintaining building interiors, exteriors, and common areas.
• Complete safety checks and promptly report hazards to management.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner and keep simple records of completed work.
• Assist with light plumbing and electrical tasks as needed.
• Communicate regularly with House Managers at each location about needs and priorities.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, resident-centered environment at all times.

Requirements

• 2 years of credible, verifiable maintenance experience (required).
• Must Pass a Background check.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between our 5 locations.
• Basic painting, repair, and handyman skills.
• Comfortable using yard and lawn equipment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.
• Able to work independently and manage your own schedule across locations.
• Clear communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
• Able to pass a background check.
• CPR/First Aid certification, or willing to obtain upon hire.

Preferred (Not Required)

• HVAC, plumbing, or electrical experience.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings.
