Maintenance Technician

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at our hotel. The ideal candidate will perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms and complete work orders assigned by staff members. This role is essential in ensuring the hotel remains safe, functional, and welcoming for all guests. Candidates with basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and carpentry are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities

• Conduct routine preventative maintenance in guest rooms and common areas to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
• Complete work orders promptly and accurately as assigned by supervisors or management staff.
• Perform basic repairs related to plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and carpentry as needed.
• Identify maintenance issues proactively and communicate effectively with team members regarding repairs or upgrades.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist with special projects or additional duties as assigned by management.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and carpentry is required; candidates are encouraged to have expertise in at least one of these areas.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and other hotel staff.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
