Maintenance Technician

JFI Real Estate Management is a Maryland-based commercial property management company seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Technician to support our expanding portfolio of commercial properties and condominium associations.

This position involves general building maintenance, minor repairs, and responding to service requests at properties throughout Maryland, including Baltimore, Columbia, Finksburg, Laurel, and Rockville.

We are looking for a professional who can work independently, respond promptly to maintenance requests, and consistently provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs.
• Replace ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and other building components.
• Adjust doors, locks, hinges, and hardware.
• Unclog toilets, sinks, and drains.
• Perform minor drywall repairs and painting.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and coordinate with property management.
• Maintain clean and professional work areas.
• Document completed work and provide updates as needed.
• Assist with additional maintenance and improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Previous general maintenance or handyman experience.
• Reliable transportation capable of carrying tools and materials.
• Own basic hand tools, cordless power tools, and cleanup equipment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Dependable, trustworthy, and professional.
• Ability to pass a background check and provide references.
• Availability during regular business hours, with occasional after-hours work.
• Immediate availability preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• $30–$35 per hour, based on experience.
